Tickets to our first Sip & Paint session with London-based artist Bruno Diaz disappeared within hours, so we brought him back to Shoreditch for round two on Valentine’s Day. Guests brought dates and friends to our Charlotte Road neighbourhood for an afternoon of canvas and cocktails, with our partners at Edwards 1902 English Vodka and Graft keeping everyone properly lubricated. For £30 a ticket, the intimate group of twenty was treated to a glass of pink champagne and two bespoke potato vodka cocktails alongside all the necessary brushes and paints to develop their skills.
By the end of the session, everyone walked away with two self-painted 8 x 10” canvases guided by Bruno’s observant, creative approach. As a student of the nearby Royal Drawing School, Bruno brought his signature focus on deep looking and environmental engagement to the afternoon, translating his formal practice into a relaxed workshop. It was a perfect reflection of what we love to do: bringing people together over exceptional drinks while showcasing the talent of contemporary artists working right on our doorstep.
