Ohros x Kricket

Diwali is the festival of light, and this year we’re marking it by making our own. We’ve invited Georgia, founder of the east London candle studio Ohros, to Charlotte Road for an afternoon of scent, play and a good bit of laughter. Our friends at Botivo will make sure nobody gets thirsty.

Georgia started pouring soy wax in her kitchen over ten years ago. It grew into her Hackney studio, and her candles now light up homes all over the world, including commissions for some of the world’s biggest brands. In this hands-on session she’ll take you through a library of more than 30 scents so you can blend a bespoke soy wax candle that’s all yours. Then you’ll name it and label it with Ohros’s custom-designed labels.

With just 12 guests per session, it’s an intimate, sociable affair, so expect plenty of sniffing, comparing notes and debating whether you really need more bergamot. Every ticket includes a Botivo serve, a botanical non-alcoholic aperitivo that’s as good for toasting the season as it is for keeping a steady pouring hand.
